As a Rooms Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces. This includes tasks such as flipping and inspecting mattresses, assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, and ensuring all hardware and appliances are present and functional.

Maintaining, repairing, and cleaning guest rooms according to property procedures and standards is also an essential part of this role. This includes minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes. Additionally, conducting general cleaning of all surfaces, including tubs, wall tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors, is crucial.

CRITICAL TASKS:

  1. Guest Room Preventative Maintenance: Follow checklists and complete maintenance efficiently, ensuring rooms are clean and equipment is removed post-maintenance. Inspections will be conducted by the Director of Engineering or designee.
  2. Maintain Building and Property: Report safety hazards or maintenance problems immediately.
  3. Install, Maintain, and Repair Items: Perform minor repairs as needed.
  4. Guest Relations: Address guest needs professionally and promptly, greeting guests courteously and using their names when possible.
  5. Working with Others: Support colleagues, fostering respectful and positive relationships.
  6. Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement: Adhere to quality standards.
  7. Safety and Security: Follow safety policies, report injuries, use PPE, handle hazardous materials properly, and respond to emergencies according to procedures.
  8. Policies and Procedures: Protect guest and coworker privacy, maintain confidentiality, and ensure proper appearance and asset protection.
  9. Physical Tasks: Be capable of reaching, bending, lifting objects up to 50 pounds unaided, and assisting with heavier objects, standing or walking for long periods.
