Accounting Professor

Muscat University seeks a highly qualified Senior Lecturer to teach and conduct research in the field of Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching experience on various modules, including Audit, Professional Ethics, Business Tax, Tax Policy, and Personal Tax, as well as Strategic Management Accounting.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD (or equivalence) in Accounting and significant industry and professional experience, including at least 5 years of HE teaching and research experience. They will also possess excellent communication skills, ability to think critically, and promote innovation and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching experience on various modules
• Conduct research and publish in internationally recognized journals
• Liaise with external Accounting-related bodies and industry
• Engage with businesses, professional bodies, schools, and communities

Requirements:

• PhD (or equivalence) in Accounting
• Significant industry and professional experience
