Senior Safety and Risk Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety and Risk Management Professional to join our team. This role will involve leading the development and implementation of safety and risk management strategies, as well as providing technical expertise to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Safety and Risk Management Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of safety and risk management principles and practices, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on safety procedures and protocols.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including a minimum of 10 years experience in Technical Safety Engineering (TSE) in oil and gas.

  • Experience in physical effects modeling and quantitative risk assessment.

  • Previous experience conducting studies using Shell FRED, SHEPHERD software, and/or other PEM/risk integration software.

  • Formal certification in technical safety is preferred.

  • Competent to interpret and apply technical safety engineering-related industry standards into projects.

  • Competent to conduct firewater demand calculations and steady state/transient hydraulic analysis of firewater systems.

Working Environment:

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety and risk management principles and practices, as well as experience working in a fast-paced environment.
