The Senior Laboratory Technician is a key figure in the dental laboratory, overseeing and executing advanced procedures to fabricate and restore high-quality dental prosthetics and appliances.

Fabrication & Restoration

• Precision Fabrication: Expertly design, build, repair, and customize dental appliances, including crowns, bridges, full and partial dentures, dental implants, mouth guards, and orthodontic devices.
• Restorative Expertise: Accurately restore or replace natural teeth by crafting high-quality prostheses using ceramics, metals, and advanced polymers.
• Complex Restorations: Specialize in constructing dental prostheses for implantology and maxillo-facial reconstructions, ensuring aesthetic and functional perfection.
• Final Touches: Perform precise polishing, finishing, and adjustments to dental prostheses for optimal fit, function, and aesthetic appeal.
• Customization: Make adjustments and refinements based on detailed feedback from the dentist, ensuring a perfect fit for the patient.

Digital Workflow & Advanced Techniques

• CAD/CAM Expertise: Utilize advanced software for digital smile design and fabrication of dental restorations.

Laboratory Operations & Management

• Inventory Management: Oversee laboratory supplies, ensuring adequate stock and maintenance for optimal workflow.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory equipment.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain records of laboratory processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and best practice protocols.
• Regulatory Adherence: Ensure adherence to local policies, safeguarding compliance with healthcare standards.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Quality Assurance: Ensure dental prostheses meet quality standards, adhering to dentist specifications for optimal patient outcomes.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control, sterilization, and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
• Record-Keeping: Keep records of laboratory activities, including materials used, procedures performed, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Leadership Role: Lead junior dental technicians, providing guidance, training, and development on advanced techniques and laboratory operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals for seamless communication and workflow.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Dental Technology from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician, with a focus on advanced prosthetics and digital workflows.
• Must hold a valid dental technician license from the relevant authority.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and 3D printing technologies.
• Strong knowledge of dental materials, tools, and equipment, including porcelain ovens, furnaces, and lathes.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise fabrication work.
