
Financial Operations Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing daily room revenue reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit daily room revenue reports to verify discrepancies between housekeeping and front office room status.
- Confirm total rooms available for sale aligns with contracted rooms.
- Validate market segmentation correctly reflects business sources and accurately reflects in the General Ledger (GL).
- Audit and reconcile all credit card collections against cashier summaries and bank statements.
- Finalize food cover reports and distribute documentation for food and beverage control and Finance Department review.
- Enter revenue journals and disseminate information to Outlet Managers and management.
- Control dockets used in all outlets, maintaining correct sequence and accounting for canceled dockets.
- Monitor food and beverage sales by recording guest checks timely, performing spot checks, and ensuring voided checks, corrections, and unsettled checks are approved.
- Reconcile total outlet sales to total charges and ensure banquet controls are adhered to.
- Summarize rebates and miscellaneous charges, sending documentation to Finance Manager and General Manager for review daily.
- Audit daily collection of General Cashiers Summary against bank slips.
- Audit and reconcile advance payments, ensuring timely application.
- Collaborate with General Cashier to regularly check float totals and maintain register control in outlets.
- Reconcile revenues daily via backup pages.
- Complete special projects assigned by management.
- Adhere to Hotel Handbook and general policies and procedures.
- Comply with Finance Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
Your experience and skills include:
- Proven experience as an Income Auditor or similar role within hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial auditing techniques and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
- Capacity to work cohesively as part of a team.
