Job Title: Earth Moving Equipment Mechanic

Job Description:

  • Maintenance and Repair of Heavy Machinery: As a skilled equipment mechanic, you will be responsible for finding, adjusting, repairing or overhauling the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment of earth moving machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and skid steer loaders.
  • Carry out regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of these complex machines.
  • Test products and equipment after repair or assembly to guarantee proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide expert technical support to customers, ensuring prompt solutions and maintaining excellent client relations.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Quickly respond to customer service requests, both on-site and remotely, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Process warehouse orders efficiently, manage inventory levels, and oversee the distribution of spare parts.
  • Coordinate regional sales and payment management for spare parts, promoting effective communication with clients.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for the service team, focusing on system optimization and improved workflow.
  • Gather and analyze data related to service activities, identifying areas for improvement and driving business growth.
  • Oversee vehicle inventory management, inspecting new arrivals and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Organize and manage spare parts stock, shipping, quality assurance, and used parts disposal.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a college diploma or equivalent in a relevant field (preferably automotive engineering).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, preferably with knowledge of local markets.
  • Familiarity with local region and languages is an added advantage.
  • Skills required include cold calling, lead generation, customer relations, marketing strategies, key account management, English language proficiency, and Omani driving license.
