Job Description

The role of the Telecom Quality Engineer is to work with the network and service quality team. The team defines the main KPIs for network and service quality, tracks those KPIs, and provides trend analysis and action plans to management.

This includes analyzing different services in voice and data technologies like 2G/3G radio, CS Core, PS Core, transmission, VAS, IGW, and WiMax. You will be responsible for defining the Key Performance Indicators reports for (CS, PS, VAS, RAN, WiMax & PSTN) and ensuring that the KPIs (SLA) are met.

You will also define a dashboard for management and ensure proper analysis takes place as required. This includes establishing guidelines for network quality management and defining all relevant performance indicators.

About the Role

In this position, you will prepare high-level assessments for management regarding network end-to-end status and trend analysis, and prepare periodical high-level network quality KPI reports while monitoring existing KPIs.

You will provide technical focal points for KPI reporting and trend analysis. You will benchmark the KPIs with key operators, especially in the Qtel Group, on network and services quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Telecommunications/IT or related fields
  • Minimum 6 years of total experience in the telecom industry, including management skills or roles
  • Subject matter experience in networking topologies and performance analysis
  • Strong understanding of mobile industry trends and services
  • Possess a business sense to make cost vs. technology trade-offs
