Job Title: Debt Finance Specialist

Debt Management:

This role involves evaluating and negotiating financing proposals, as well as managing the end-to-end financing process.

  1. Evaluate refinancing opportunities to reduce interest costs and improve financial flexibility.
  2. Manage the airline's debt portfolio and analyze and optimize the debt maturity profile.
  3. Assist in developing and implementing a debt strategy aligned with the company's transformation program.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective management of interest rate and currency exchange risks.
Risk Management:

This position requires supporting the management of interest rate and jet fuel price risks, as well as identifying and assessing financial risks associated with the company's debt portfolio.

  3. Implement hedging strategies to mitigate interest rate and currency exchange risks.
  4. Monitor market conditions and economic indicators to assess their impact on the debt portfolio.
Reporting and Compliance:

This role involves preparing periodic treasury reports for management and board reporting, as well as ensuring compliance with all debt-related covenants.

  3. Prepare and submit required financial reports to shareholders.
  4. Collaborate with the treasury team to optimize cash flow and debt service payments.
Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial or accounting roles.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (mandatory).
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Post-graduate degree/accreditation such as CFA, CMA or CPA is a plus.
