Procurement Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Strategist to join our team at OQ. The successful candidate will have +16 years of relevant experience in the energy sector, with a strong background in procurement and contracts management.

The role involves developing and expanding relationships with key OEMs and contractors, as well as driving capacity building initiatives and performance of direct and indirect staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and ability to communicate across all levels.

• Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and expand relationships with key OEMs and contractors in the renewable energy market.
• Direct and preside over building and retaining capabilities within Procurement and Contracts function.
• Drive synergistic partnerships with other functions to understand their procurement needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge of Procurement and Contracts management, preferably with experience in tender boards/committees in Omani state-owned companies.
• Planning and performance management.
• In-depth understanding of Procurement in the energy industry, preferably in the alternative energy sector.
