Job Overview

Bechtel is seeking a Contract Formation/Administration Professional to join the team in {location}. This role involves participating in subcontract formation and administration, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement supply chain assignment schedules and standard work process procedures.
  • Manage assigned subcontracts, reviewing progress and providing financial or technical difficulty information to management.
  • Coordinate operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations.
  • Negotiate less complex contract changes.
  • Communicate information programs to ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms.

Subcontract Formation:

  • Conform subcontract execution and direct negotiations for commitment.
  • Prepare bidders' lists and pre-qualify bidders.
  • Form bid request packages and issue them to approved bidders.
  • Coordinate bidders' questions and answers.
  • Receive bids, evaluate commercially, and prepare commercial bid summaries.
  • Secure approvals and prepare subcontract documents for execution.
  • Organize meetings for complete understanding and agreement on contractual matters.

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in formation activities, including prequalification, tendering, and awarding small to medium-sized contracts.
  • Subcontract management skills, including change management activities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
