Engineering Manager

  • An advocate of modern software development practices, you will participate in the engineering process through code and architectural review.
  • Engage with broader teams at Canonical, the open source community, and partners, while also traveling to internal and external global events for 4-6 weeks per year.

  • With experience in high-quality software development and high-performance team leadership, you will be responsible for developing and growing a team of engineers.
  • Your expertise in Linux on physical servers, Linux storage, and data center networking capabilities will be invaluable in this role.

Requirements

  • A strong track record of technical leadership, with experience in software engineering and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address complex challenges.
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred), with a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers, and K8s.
  • Programming experience in Python and Go, with a passion for technology and a drive to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
