About the Role

  • The Master has overriding authority to take necessary action for the safety and security of the crew, vessel, or environment.
  • Maintain statutory certification and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Lead the tug crew in operations, maintenance, and training.
  • Coordinate with shore-based management to address safety concerns and improve operational procedures.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • II/2 - Master above 500GT.
  • Basic Safety Training (STCW A-VI/1).
  • Proficiency in Medical Care On Board Ship (STCW Code A-VI/4-2).
  • Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties A-VI/6.

Special Skills Required

  • At least 24 months of sea time as a Master.
  • Understanding of English language preferred.
