History Teacher Position in Oman

We are seeking a skilled History teacher to join our team at a UK curriculum school in Oman. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching A Level courses and experience with the UK national curriculum.

The ideal candidate will be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and foster a positive classroom environment. They will also work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure students achieve their full potential.

As a History teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach a range of subjects, including Secondary classes to A Level. You will also have the chance to develop your skills in lesson planning, assessment, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging lessons based on the UK curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment, fostering a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school leadership team.
  • Teach Secondary classes to A Level.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience.
  • Experience teaching A Level courses is desirable.
  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in History, Sociology or Education and PGCE in Secondary Teaching.
  • Experience of UK curriculum preferred with complete QTS and Induction.
  • Able to deliver active and engaging lessons.
  • Display an energetic, positive attitude which will create a warm and engaging atmosphere to advance students' physical, mental, and emotional development.
