Junior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Responsibilities:
  • Record daily financial transactions and process data using Tally accounting software
  • Assist in preparing financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements
  • Help reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Process bank deposits and assist with bank reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist in preparing budget forecasts and financial reports
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and other accounting documents
  • Assist in preparing and submitting tax filings and ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • Support internal and external audits as needed
  • Help maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
  • Contribute to maintaining accounting controls by following policies and procedures
  • Backup financial data and maintain data confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internship experience may be considered)
  • Oman Experience and Oil and Gas Industry experience is a plus point
  • Proficient in Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a professional accounting environment
