The Senior Claim Management Lead will be responsible for leading the Claims Management Team in assessing and resolving claims, ensuring a robust and consistent approach to claim management. The role involves early support on claims management, including prevention and forensic analysis, and providing advice to senior management on complex issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate incoming claims, analyze documentation, and assess their validity and impact on supply chain operations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into the root causes of claims to identify trends and patterns, providing insights for process improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the timely and effective resolution of claims, minimizing financial losses and operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to negotiate settlements and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain that may lead to claims and develop proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Maintain accurate records of all claims, correspondence, and resolutions in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Advanced certifications such as Associate in Claims (AIC) is recommended.
  • Minimum 10 years proven experience in claim management, preferably within the context of integrated supply chain operations in oil and gas sectors.
  • A Subject Matter Expert in claims prevention and management with a proven track record and experience on major international engineering and construction projects.
  • Leadership skills, preferably demonstrated on a large engineering and construction project.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to operate effectively in diverse cultural environments and at different organizational levels.
