Petrophysics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Petrophysicist to join our team in Muscat, Oman. As a Petrophysics Specialist, you will play a key role in the exploration and production of oil and gas.

Your responsibilities will include providing high-quality petrophysical interpretation results and technical program advice for commercial, technical, and operational decisions.

• You will work closely with the Exploration Manager to provide technical support for exploration and production activities.
• You will create and evaluate logging programs (conventional and non-conventional) and supervise these activities.
• You will perform hands-on log interpretation of logs such as FMI, Segma, VSP, NMR, including cased hole logging (e.g., production logs).
• You will set up core analysis programs for wells to be cored.
• You will define FWL using pressure data and build SHF models with MICP.
• You will integrate PP data into subsurface reservoir characterizations for development and exploration projects.
• You will calculate reservoir parameters like saturation, porosity, and formation factors manually or using software.
• You will conduct Value of Information and cost analyses related to petrophysical data acquisition or analysis.
• You will represent the company in Technical Committee Meetings regarding petrophysics.
• You will mentor young graduates and develop technical training programs.
• You will implement new technologies and software in petrophysics, aligning them with company standards.
