Commercial Contract Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contract Specialist to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial evaluation models and the ability to lead communication between the company and bidders during the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with End Users and support departments (finance, legal, HR) to prepare and develop tendering & contracting strategies.
  2. Develop commercial evaluation models and participate in developing technical evaluation models.
  3. Lead communication between the company and bidders during the tendering process, including issuing invitations, preparing responses to clarifications, and ensuring receipt of bid documents.
  4. Review and perform commercial evaluations and formulate contract award recommendations.
  5. Present contract strategies, evaluation results, and award recommendations to the contracts committee and tender board.
  6. Secure necessary approvals for commitments and issue contracts & agreements.
  7. Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiation sessions.
  8. Conduct market analysis/benchmarking and convert market research data into clear outsourcing recommendations and sourcing plans.
  9. Identify and monitor vendors and industry changes.
  10. Review contract spending and expiry dates, coordinating with vendors on required actions.
  11. Manage contracts, including preparing amendments/extensions and seeking approvals.
  12. Ensure complete contract documentation for audit trail purposes.
  13. Conduct monthly reviews with vendors to anticipate needs and determine requirements.
Requirements:

Candidate must have a minimum of 12+ years of experience and hold a bachelor's degree in engineering.
