HSE Manager

This role is critical in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of construction operations on-site.

The HSE Manager will play a key part in minimizing risks, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel involved in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health & Safety Governance: Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Risk Management & Planning: Conduct regular risk assessments and develop safety plans to minimize hazards and prevent accidents.
  • Employee Training & Development: Provide training and education to employees on health and safety procedures, best practices, and industry regulations.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and maintained, including incident reports, safety audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement emergency response plans to respond to unexpected events or incidents.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).

Your Background:

  • 7+ years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry safety regulations, standards, and practices.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards.
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage workers at all levels.
