HSSE Specialist

Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with the ability to develop and implement effective safety procedures and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement HSSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Provide training and awareness programs for personnel on HSSE-related topics, including incident investigation, risk assessment, and emergency response.
4. Manage and coordinate HSSE investigations, including root cause analysis and development of action plans.
5. Analyze and report HSSE statistics and trends to inform business decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety or environmental science.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the petrochemical, oil and gas, or power generation industry.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, including OSHA and ISO 45001.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, operations staff, and contractors.
