Field Service Coordinator Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative, technical, and commercial skills to handle various tasks related to field service personnel.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Handle all administrative, technical, and commercial work in connection with the delegation of field service personnel.
  • Prepare, delegate, and instruct on all ongoing site activities, including cost and claims calculation for field service projects.
  • Ensure that all work done in the field is clearly reported and documented.
  • Draw up specifications for any needed site subcontractors for installation/commissioning personnel.
  • Evaluate subcontractors' quotations and select qualified subcontractors for field service work in collaboration with the field service pool.
  • Coordinate and communicate among all parties involved in field service activities, arrange and lead kick-off/pre-installation meetings, and follow up with site inspections.
  • Arrange, review, and compile all necessary documentation and work instructions for field service staff to complete planned activities safely, including risk assessments and HSE assessments.
  • Arrange with global organizations for field service staff exchange.
  • Arrange for the necessary consumables, tooling, lifting, and other equipment required for field service operations.
  • Arrange and perform briefing and de-briefing meetings with delegated field service personnel.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to field service personnel during their site assignments.
  • Ensure that all work done in the field is clearly reported and documented.
  • Control costs and ensure financial completion for each field service project.
  • Complete field service quality documentation as required by the company's quality systems.
  • Regularly report in writing to management on all activities, commercial, technical, and personnel issues.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of practical experience on rotating equipment (steam turbines, compressors, and expanders).
  • Knowledge of local technical standards and directives.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of turbomachinery.
  • Certified project/contract manager or similar training.
  • Graduate from senior high school or graduate from apprentice training or diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge of rotating equipment (steam turbines, compressors, and expanders).
  • Experience in reading drawings, technical documents, instructions, sketches/explanations of details, and cross-sectional drawings.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good computer knowledge (MS Office, MS Project).
