About the Role:

  • This position is responsible for ensuring that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced to avoid breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service all kitchen equipment as instructed by the General Mechanical Supervisor.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks quickly and efficiently to satisfy guest needs.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and apply the appropriate action according to hotel policy and standards.
  • Work safely and with minimal environmental impact to protect guests' and colleagues' health and safety, as well as the environment.
  • Comply with hotel policies and procedures related to environmental, health and safety.

Requirements:

  • A licensed high/low pressure boiler operator with previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proven knowledge in the operation of equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers.
  • A good command of English and the ability to find faults and rectify subsystems.

Additional Qualities:

  • Self-motivated with a hands-on and flexible approach.
  • Proactive and reliable, with the ability to adapt to unpredictable events.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time associate role within the Management and Manufacturing sector of the hospitality industry.
