Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Librarian to manage our library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a library setting, strong organizational skills, and excellent customer service abilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing the library's collection, ensuring that all materials are catalogued and easily accessible to patrons.
• Assisting patrons with finding and checking out materials, as well as providing reference services in person and over the phone.
• Maintaining an organized and clean library environment, free from distractions and conducive to learning.
• Planning and coordinating events and programs for library patrons, promoting literacy and a love of reading.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a library setting, preferably in a management or supervisory capacity.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patrons and colleagues alike.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.
