Golang Software Engineer

We are looking for a skilled software engineer to work on Linux devices software engineering. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions for Linux devices.
Our team uses Golang to develop mission-critical code, focusing on software delivery, containers, security sandboxing, telemetry, and device management. We strive to deliver snaps, which are next-generation software packaging and delivery for Linux.
Job DescriptionThis role involves collaborating with a distributed team, writing high-quality code, debugging Linux system-level issues, and reviewing code produced by other engineers. You will also be expected to discuss ideas, collaborate on finding good solutions, and obsess over achieving robustness despite unexpected events.
Duties and Responsibilities- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
- Write high-quality code to create new features
- Debug Linux system-level issues and produce high-quality code to fix them
- Review code produced by other engineers
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions
- Obsess over how to achieve robustness despite unexpected events
- You have a Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar degree
- You have professional software development experience using Go, Python, C, or C++
- You know Linux system-level fundamentals, e.g., cgroups, namespaces, apparmor
- Commitment to software testing, code reviews, and maintainable code
