About the Role
  • This is a leadership position that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and direct a team of IT professionals.
  • You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the overall IT strategy, ensuring seamless integration with other departments and smooth operation of all systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • To lead the IT department in delivering high-quality services, exceeding customer expectations and contributing to business growth.
  • To develop and maintain comprehensive Department Operations Manuals, detailing policies, procedures, work processes, and performance standards within the division.
  • To ensure timely upgrades to the Property Management System and maintenance of up-to-date software licenses.
  • To provide technical assistance to hotel management to minimize overhead expenses and maximize productivity.
Customer Service
  • To deliver exceptional service to internal customers and visitors, ensuring a courteous and professional experience at all times.
  • To handle guest and employee inquiries efficiently, reporting any issues or complaints while providing prompt follow-up.
  • To maintain positive relationships with guests and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Operational
  • To establish procedures for data backup and recovery in IS systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum availability.
  • To coordinate timely repairs and returns to service for faulty systems or equipment.
  • To set up emergency procedures to maintain system operation in case of failure.
Personnel
  • To assist in recruiting and selecting IS employees using a competency-based approach.
  • To develop skills and abilities of IS employees through training, coaching, and mentoring.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous IT management experience preferably in the hotel, leisure, and/or service sector.
  • Experience with Microsoft systems and hotel applications.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Current technical skills and knowledge of technology.
  • General understanding of IT infrastructure trends and technologies.
