Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance on heavy machinery and ensuring that all work is performed safely and in accordance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular maintenance on heavy machinery such as Mining Dump Trucks, Mining Drills, and Crushing/Screening Equipment.
  • Identify, adjust, repair, or overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repairs or assembly to ensure proper functioning and compliance.
  • Provide technical support to customers and maintain good client relations.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to service calls, handle on-site faults, and provide field service.
  • Manage central warehouse order processing.
  • Organize spare parts inventory and plan for overstock management.
  • Follow the regular distribution order plan.
  • Manage regional spare parts sales and payments.
  • Provide training and guidance on the service system.
  • Collect and inspect service data.
  • Manage inventory vehicles and inspect new machines upon receipt.
  • Organize spare parts, oversee shipping, ensure quality assurance, and manage used spare parts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate or hold a relevant college diploma, preferably in Automotive.
  • Experience of 1 to 3 years in the same industry.
  • Experience with engineering machinery or heavy equipment (Mining Dump Trucks, Drills, Crushing/Screening Equipment) is preferred, with familiarity of the local region.
  • Skills in Cold Calling, Lead Generation, Customer Relations, Marketing Strategies, and Key Account Management.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Oman Driving License is required.
