Identity Management Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Distributed Systems Operations Specialist to build high-performing services and secure identity and access management solutions. This is a unique opportunity for a software engineering manager with a passion for distributed systems to help transform the future of identity management.

This role involves working with upstream open source projects, alongside internal teams to deliver high-quality software that can be deployed on bare metal, public cloud, and Kubernetes. As the identity team lead, you will bring significant software development experience, Kubernetes knowledge, and a keen eye for software design, performance, and security.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Defining the technical vision for products with product management
  • Managing the team backlog and reviewing code
  • Coaching younger team members and designing software
  • Writing high-quality code and tests, providing insightful code reviews, and writing documentation
  • Troubleshooting issues and ensuring work is backed by rock-solid data stores and highly observable using our Kubernetes-based Observability stack


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:Proven experience hiring and leading high-performance software engineering teamsExperience with Go and Python software development, as well as container technology and KubernetesA strong understanding of software/infrastructure security and performance, as well as experience designing and/or operating large-scale distributed systemsKnowledge of identity and access management technologies and standards is desirable but not essential
