Job Title: Director of Housekeeping

Job Summary

The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping functions in guestrooms, offices, and public areas. This role involves establishing cleanliness standards, implementing work rules, and conducting periodic inspections to ensure quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the supervision of housekeeping staff, including supervisors, attendants, and cleaners, ensuring a balance of employee schedules to meet peak and slack periods.
  • Hire, develop, and maintain payroll control of employees, adhering to union and labor law requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with front office and revenue departments to coordinate guest check-ins, VIP arrivals, and group bookings.
  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure smooth repair work and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the laundry department to ensure efficient linen processing and maintain standards for uniform distribution.
  • Organize and manage linen inventories for guest rooms and assist with food and beverage linen supplies.
  • Oversee the linen room and repair services, ensuring they meet hotel standards.
  • Manage inventory of guestroom and cleaning supplies, control expenses, and ensure adherence to budgets.

This role requires a strong leadership presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
