Maintenance Specialist

The primary focus of this role is to maintain and repair refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and extending the lifespan of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on refrigeration plants to identify potential issues before they escalate
  • Conduct thorough inspections of condensing units, compressors, and other critical components to detect signs of wear or damage
  • Carry out repairs and replacements as needed, using a variety of tools and techniques to ensure efficient and safe operation
  • Analyze P&I diagrams to understand system layouts and troubleshoot complex problems

In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in refrigeration plant maintenance and repair
  • Familiarity with copper pipes brazing and electrical control wiring
  • Ability to read and interpret P&I diagrams and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITI certification in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning
  • Matric education with relevant work experience
