Lab Expert

This position requires a detail-oriented individual to perform laboratory testing and analysis of drilling and completion fluids. The specialist will support product and system design, project troubleshooting, and performance analysis.

• Conduct pilot testing on drilling and completion fluids to evaluate their effectiveness in various applications.
• Analyze data from QA/QC processes to ensure products meet required standards.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including site testing gear, and plan for new purchases as needed.
• Examine corrosion coupons from the field and provide technical reports detailing findings.
• Evaluate and select optimum mud cake breaker formulations through core flow tests.
• Analyze data from PPA/PPT and laser PSD analyzers to inform reservoir drill-in fluid and low invasion coring fluid designs.
• Monitor and maintain safe stock levels of lab consumables and spare parts to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with remote teams to share knowledge, theories, and actions to resolve inquiries and issues effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience working in a Drilling Fluids Lab as a Laboratory Technician or Technical Support Engineer.
• Strong experience in drilling fluids design, applications, and performance.
• Proficiency in running all Drilling Fluids API related specs.
• Ability to work independently in the lab and possess excellent planning, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel for rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, and training.
