Job Description:

The role of the Film Operator is to ensure the efficient running of the digital projection system, film and audio equipment suited to a very high standard. This involves a diverse range of duties that ensures the customer receives the optimal visual and aural movie experience when they are in the cinema.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
  2. Manage playlists, including adverts and trailers, cue placements, sound formats, and picture ratios.
  3. Operate all film and digital projectors, sound equipment, and related equipment in the projector suite.
  4. Replace lamps, perform lamp checks, and track maintenance logs.
  5. Ensure general projection booth housekeeping and scheduling maintenance visits.
  6. Oversee live show performances and pre-show testing.
  7. Set up and operate various audio-visual equipment, including sound mixers, microphones, video projectors, etc.
  8. Address issues related to exhaust or air-conditioning systems within the projection room or cinema auditoriums.
