Technical Support Specialist

About the Job

We are seeking an exceptional Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding technical support experiences to our customers.

You will work closely with our customers to understand their technical needs and provide timely and effective solutions. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer with a passion for Linux and open-source technologies to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

About the Role

  • Provide technical support to customers via telephone, email, and web interfaces.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient issue resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and developments in the field of Linux and open-source systems.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud computing concepts a plus.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with other open-source desktop technologies.
  • Active contribution to open-source projects/forum/code.
