Senior Veterinarian Job Overview

  • This position is responsible for overseeing the health and wellbeing of farm animals and livestock staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement biosecurity measures as outlined in the company's biosecurity plan.
  • Instruct Livestock Technicians on duties such as feeding, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and monitoring breeding and healthcare.
  • Ensure adequate food and water supply for animals, attending to illnesses or injuries and reporting concerns to the General Manager.
  • Prepare samples of milk, eggs, and chicken for laboratory testing following established procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine, with a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Senior Veterinarian on an organic farm. They should also have expertise in livestock and equipment management, disease detection, and quality examination of produce.
