Chief Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative chief mechanical design engineer to lead the development of new products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electromechanical system design and integration, as well as proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Fusion 360.

This role requires excellent leadership skills, with experience in team management and mentoring junior designers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical mechanisms, integrating hardware systems with electrical and electronic components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and development of new products, focusing on functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Designing and implementing complex mechanical mechanisms involving kinematic chains, motion control systems, and precision components.
  • Collaborating with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure complete system functionality and integration.
  • Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, BOMs, and engineering change orders.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial design, 20+ years of experience in product design and electromechanical system integration, and proficiency in 3D CAD software.

Suitable candidates will have a solid understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, and mechanical design principles, as well as hands-on prototyping and testing skills.
