About the Role

The Geological Development Manager position is responsible for leading the geological aspects of field development at Hydrocarbon Finder. This involves working closely with the Sub-surface team to identify and prepare development opportunities, supporting drilling location decisions, and contributing to the development portfolio building process.

You will be responsible for evaluating and justifying appraisal and development locations, integrating new well information to evaluate reserves and resources implications, and collaborating with Production and Reservoir engineers on production/injection problems. Additionally, you will provide support for directional drilling operations and manage geological information data within the Sub-surface Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the geological aspects of field development
  • Identifying and preparing development opportunities
  • Supporting drilling location decisions
  • Contributing to the development portfolio building process
  • Evaluating and justifying appraisal and development locations
  • Integrating new well information
  • Collaborating with Production and Reservoir engineers
  • Managing geological information data

Requirements

  • A degree in Geology (B.A. minimum, Master's recommended)
  • At least 10 years' experience in Production and Development Geology
  • Strong knowledge in Petroleum Geology, Structural Geology, Stratigraphy, Sedimentology, and Reservoir engineering
  • Proficiency in geotechnical integration and interpretation software
  • Experience with Petrel or similar software
  • Field experience is mandatory
  • Understanding of drilling and completion technology
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Mentoring and supervising junior geologists
