Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of products through inspection, testing, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test products to determine chemical and physical properties related to the spectrometer machine.
  • Maintain samples from each batch along with classification information.
  • Verify materials against standard requirements and follow IMS format.
  • Operate sample preparation machines and transportation equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Analyze test data to identify process or equipment operating efficiency and diagnose issues.
  • Support the QA Engineer as required.
  • Perform additional testing on non-routine samples.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the QA Engineer.
Work Environment:
  • Shift work, including overtime as required.
  • Regularly record operational data for reliable performance and material stock information.
  • Foster a safe and clean work environment in accordance with OAPIL IMS and HSE Standards.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to complete assignments.
  • Monitor and manage laboratories within the Quality Control department.
  • Ensure raw materials meet specifications.
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports for vendor actions.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections of finished goods with the Sales department.
  • Maintain lab equipment functionality, service, and calibration according to standards.
  • Organize training and toolbox meetings for QC supervisors and inspectors.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment failures and inconsistent results with QC engineers and technicians.
  • Enforce strict compliance with testing standards.
  • Manage tasks assigned by management to enhance operating skills and transfer to other departments as needed.
