We are seeking a highly skilled IT Executive to oversee the day-to-day support of our IT systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department in a professional and efficient manner, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Administration:
- Manage the department's operations, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through planning, organizing, directing and controlling Information Systems policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a detailed Department Operations Manual that reflects policies and procedures, work processes and standards of performance.
- Ensure the availability of necessary stationery and consumables required by IS systems.
- Verify that all licenses are complete and up-to-date.
- Keep software in the Property Management System up to date as instructed by senior management.
- Customer Service:
- Provide a high level of professional, courteous and caring service to internal customers and visitors to the division.
- Ensure all Information Systems employees provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
- Respond to guest and employee enquiries in a timely and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found.
- Financial:
- Maximise employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals.
- Direct employees to ensure productivity meets standards given in accordance with Hyatt Design Standards and Criteria.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual Finance Business Plan, ensuring Divisional Objectives fully address business objectives.
- Prepare and regularly update the Finance Departmental Budget, working closely with the Director of Finance to ensure targets are met.
- Operational:
- Offer technical assistance and advice to hotel management to minimise overhead expenses and maximise productivity.
- Assist authorised users with the operation of the hotel's IS system hardware and various modules.
- Coordinate timely repair and return to service any faulty systems or items of equipment.
- Establish and implement procedures to ensure backup of data in IS systems.
- Personnel:
- Support the recruitment and selection of IS employees, using a competency-based approach.
- Ensure the punctuality and appearance of all IS employees, adhering to the hotel's grooming standards.
- Develop each employee's skills and abilities through training, coaching and mentoring.
- Other Duties:
- Attend and contribute to all training sessions and meetings as required.
- Stay knowledgeable about statutory legislation in employee and industrial relations.
- Exhibit responsible management behaviour at all times, positively representing the hotel management team.
