The mining industry is in need of skilled professionals to drive its growth and development.

As a Mining Engineer, you will play a vital role in planning, executing, and supervising mining operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans based on the overall production schedule.
  • Supervising drilling, blasting, excavation, hauling, and ore stockpiling activities.
  • Ensuring proper implementation of grade control and coordinating with geologists and survey teams.
  • Enforcing strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and optimizing usage to improve efficiency.
  • Maintaining detailed records of production, delays, and operational data.
  • Supporting quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes and managing ore sampling and stockpile reconciliation.
  • Assisting in obtaining necessary mining permits and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Contributing to weekly planning meetings and preparing technical reports on project performance.
  • Coordinating closely with the planning and HSE teams to align mining activities with overall project goals.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in open-pit mining operations.
  • Proficiency in Surpac and MineSched software is mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of drilling and blasting practices, grade control, and mining regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work in remote project locations and manage field operations under pressure.
