Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in Java and Oracle SQL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, test, maintain, and support Java-based applications to ensure their reliability and performance.
  • Write optimized SQL queries for Oracle databases to improve data efficiency.
  • Participate in application deployments and troubleshoot runtime issues effectively.
  • Understand system integrations using REST and SOAP web services to enhance collaboration.
  • Analyze logs and debug application issues efficiently.
  • Provide level 2 application support as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirement gathering and system analysis to drive business success.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent English and Arabic speaking and writing skills to facilitate effective communication.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (Core and EE) to develop robust applications.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL (queries) to optimize database performance.
  • Application development and lifecycle knowledge to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services to integrate systems seamlessly.
  • Basic understanding of JBoss or other application servers to manage complex infrastructure.
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and related protocols to ensure secure data transmission.
  • Strong communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking and grasp of business processes to drive informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder management to foster collaboration and achieve goals.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with application support (ticketing, monitoring, issue triage) to streamline operations.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate) to enhance development efficiency.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting to automate tasks.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies to adapt to changing project requirements.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Candidates currently residing in Oman with the required skills and qualifications.
