Database Architect

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Database Architect to join our team at Bank Nizwa. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing database structures and architectures that meet the bank's requirements and long-term goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Design and Implementation: Design and implement database structures and architectures that meet the bank's requirements and long-term goals.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure that the bank's critical data is protected and can be quickly recovered in case of a disaster or system failure.
• Technology Evaluation and Recommendation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve database performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that database systems support the bank's strategic objectives.

**Requirements:**

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Certifications: Mandatory certifications of Oracle Certified Professional. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and MongoDB Certified DBA are highly desirable.
• Experience: 5-7 years of experience working as a DBA in a bank or financial institution.
• Skills and Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Oracle19c and above including RAC, Portioning, Encryption and good understanding of SQL Server, SAP-IQ, MongoDB, and others is necessary. Expert skills working in operating systems environment such as Linux/Unix and Windows servers on VMware and Physical environments. Cluster management and failover methods with thorough understanding of Storage management.
