Senior Data Science Manager Position

We are seeking a visionary Senior Data Science Manager to lead our data science initiatives. This pivotal role involves overseeing the strategic direction and execution of data science projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Data Science Vision: Create an overall data science vision, strategy, and framework that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Lead High-Performing Team: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning among data scientists.
  • Execute Strategic Projects: Drive the execution of strategic data science projects that ensure alignment with business objectives and delivery of actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for modeling and analytics that can enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee Machine Learning Algorithms: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics, incorporating best practices into the team's methodologies.
  • Mentorship and Professional Development: Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skill sets and career growth.
  • Present Findings and Recommendations: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex data insights into clear and actionable strategies.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or Ph.D.: A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing data science teams.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Machine Learning Techniques: Deep understanding of machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics methodologies.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale data science projects that drive business value.
  • Data Visualization Tools: Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for effectively communicating complex analyses.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
