Process Chemist

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist/Field Engineer to join our Chemicals Technologies division. In this role, you will work closely with our customer's field team in Oman and be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of their chemical treating programs.

Responsibilities:

• Safety and Quality: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and quality standards, and support the development and implementation of process improvements.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers, including troubleshooting and problem-solving, and develop and deliver training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills.
• Program Management: Manage field chemical inventories, maintain chemical dosing rates, and supervise installation/removal/change of chemical injection sites.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and prepare and distribute regular reports to stakeholders.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and process engineers, to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Education: A 4-year technical degree in chemistry or a related field is required.
• Experience: At least 5 years' experience in oil, gas, and water production and treatment systems, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Licenses and Certifications: Must be licensed to drive the assigned company vehicle.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
