Role Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient pilotage operations within Sohar Port and Freezone.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as the Port Authorities representative and liaison officer between the Ship's Master and Sohar Port and Freezone.
  • Coordinate with the Ship's Master to optimize vessel movements and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Supervise and control port traffic to minimize congestion and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
  • Hold a valid Master Mariner Class 1 certificate with STCW95 compliance.
  • Be physically fit to work a 24/7 roster.
  • possess strong analytical, judgmental, organizational, and communication skills.
