Senior Legal Counsel

Job Description

The role of Senior Legal Counsel involves providing strategic legal advice to senior management and ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. The position requires excellent analytical skills to identify complex legal issues and provide sound solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operational Support
  1. Provide timely legal support to management as requested by the Chief Legal Officer.
  2. Draft and review contracts, policies, forms, and procedures.
  3. Represent or arrange representation of the organization in legal proceedings.
  4. Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts.
  5. Assist the Chief Legal Officer on strategic projects.
  • Legislative and Regulatory Monitoring
  1. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and ensure management is informed of changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in law, with 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Possesses excellent English skills with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Strong analytical legal skills to identify issues and provide sound solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Holds high ethical standards.
  • Willingness to stay updated on legal changes.
