Pediatric Neonatologist Opportunity

A prestigious client seeks a Consultant or Specialist with Pediatric expertise in Neonatology.

  • Consultant / Specialist - Pediatric Neonatologist

Responsibilities:

  1. Prenatal Care for High-Risk Infants: Providing expert care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  2. Assisting in Complex Deliveries: Responding promptly to emergencies and complications during delivery.
  3. Caring for Infant Nutrition: Ensuring infants receive proper nutrition for healthy growth and development.
  4. Treating Infections and Conditions: Administering medications, vaccinations, and other medical treatments as needed.
  5. Ordering and Interpreting Diagnostic Tests: Utilizing lab results to inform treatment decisions.
  6. Maintaining Patient Records: Accurately documenting patient information and histories.
  7. Explaining Procedures and Results: Communicating effectively with patients and their families.
  8. Monitoring Patient Progress: Regularly assessing patients' conditions and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  9. Collaborating with Medical Staff: Directing, consulting, and referring patients to specialists and other medical professionals.
  10. Providing Health Advice: Offering guidance on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in medicine
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
  • 3 to 7 years of internship and clinical residency training, specializing in Pediatrics.
  • A medical degree in neonatology and the successful completion of a residency and fellowship.
  • Fellowship in Neonatology or its equivalent such as Arab Board/Indian Board to practice as a Pediatric Neonatologist.

Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years

License:

  • Valid medical license from the Ministry of Health (MoH)
  • Eligibility to have a medical license as per the Oman MoH category for candidates outside Oman
  • Hold a valid medical license from your home country
