Job Description

The Head of Quality and Environment will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the quality management and environmental strategies. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while promoting sustainability across all aspects of railway construction and operations.

This includes leading initiatives to improve operational performance, reduce environmental impact, and ensure adherence to industry best practices. The individual will work closely with various departments to uphold the company's commitment to excellence, safety, and environmental responsibility.

• ">• Lead efforts to enhance operational performance through quality control and environmental management systems, ensuring continual improvement and adherence to best practices.">">
• ">• Oversee regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality and environmental management systems. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies based on audit findings.">">
• ">• Work closely with internal departments to ensure quality and environmental standards are integrated into all processes.">">
• ">• Establish and oversee risk management frameworks, identifying and mitigating quality and environmental risks. Implement proactive measures to manage potential non-conformities and environmental hazards.">">

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in quality and/or environmental management is required, preferably within the transportation, infrastructure, or rail industry.

The individual must possess in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, quality management systems (ISO 9001), and environmental management systems (ISO 14001). A proven track record of leading quality and environmental initiatives that drive performance improvement, sustainability, and reduce waste is essential.

Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, are also necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing regulatory compliance and audits, are highly valued.

Certification in quality and environmental management (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma) is desirable. Ability to travel across project sites in the UAE and Oman is also required.
