Job Title

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead offshore engineering activities for our projects in Oman. This role involves a secondment to our client in Muscat, Oman.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and execution of marine and offshore structural activities related to SBM and pipeline systems.
  • Conduct offshore surveys, navigational studies, mooring analysis, seismic analysis, and other relevant tasks.
  • Manage vendor deliverables for SBM and related equipment.
  • Oversee the installation and engineering of mooring anchors, chains, hawsers, PLEM, and SBM locations.
  • Apply offshore engineering standards and design codes to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Review and challenge project design assumptions to add value to the project.
  • Compile and evaluate information from FEED contractor reports using offshore standards and codes.
  • Participate in engineering reviews and meetings, providing leadership when required.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in refinery and petrochemical industries.
  • Extensive experience in offshore structural activities.
  • Experience in the Middle East is mandatory.
