HSE Advisor Role

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the construction site adheres to all legal requirements and maintains a safe working environment.

  • \
  • Familiarize with OQ and OPAL HSE procedures and requirements.\
  • Record all HSE statistics of the project and maintain tracking.\
  • Provide assistance to all site members for their queries.\
  • Follow up for compliance with the Monitoring plan and advise site personnel on compliance with client requirements and report submission to the Site HSSE Manager.\
  • Support all site personnel with problems related to HSE implementation.\
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards on-site and develop strategies to mitigate them.\
  • Prepare weekly/monthly site visit/inspection schedules and monitor HSE compliance at the site, reviewing performance on new HSE activities.\
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly HSE performance measurement reports to the HSE Manager and Client.\
  • Maintain records of HSE meetings and ensure that routine HSE meetings take place.\
  • Maintain Audit log, NCR Log, Action Tracking Register, Default Log, Training record, and incident log, ensuring all supporting documents of close-out are maintained.\
  • Create HSE Alerts, HSE bulletins, and conduct awareness sessions for the same.\
  • Conduct frequent site visits for auditing, inspection, training, and advising.\
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations, near misses, first aid cases, and follow-up reports.\
  • Maintain copies of all incident reports and provide a monthly report and all required documents to the Site HSE Manager.\
  • Be actively involved in documentation, implementation, and audits of corrective actions.\
  • Demonstrate active involvement in HSE training programs.\
  • Work as a team.\
  • Maintain records of subcontractors and conduct frequent audits to ensure compliance.\
  • Carry out safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.\
  • Investigate accidents or near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.\
  • Organize and conduct safety training sessions for all site personnel, including toolbox talks and induction training for new workers.\
  • Keep up to date with HSE laws and regulations to ensure the construction site adheres to all legal requirements.\
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance with regulatory requirements.\
  • Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management and relevant authorities.\
  • Facilitate effective communication regarding HSE matters among all levels of the workforce, from management to site workers.\
  • Encourage a proactive safety culture by leading by example and promoting the importance of safety in all site activities.\
  • Implement behavioral safety programs to encourage safe work practices and reduce human error.\
