Linux Field Engineering Leadership Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Linux engineer to take on a leadership role, leading a team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in embedded Linux development and management, strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

About the Job

The role entails leading a regionally-focused team of Field engineers, solving customer problems, working remotely, coaching and mentoring team members, identifying and measuring team health indicators, implementing disciplined engineering processes, representing the team and product to stakeholders, developing and evangelising great engineering and organisational practices, and planning and managing progress on agreed goals and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Field engineers, ranging from graduate to senior, in the areas of Presales and Professional Services.
  • Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and being a trusted advisor.
  • Work remotely in a single major time zone.
  • Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback.
  • Identify and measure team health indicators.
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes.
  • Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
