Content Marketing Manager Role

About the Job:

We're seeking an exceptional Content Marketing Manager to lead our content efforts and manage a team of skilled writers and strategists. Our organization has a robust portfolio of open source products, offering support for a wide range of technologies.

  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives, SEO, and brand guidelines.
  • Manage our content calendar from start to finish, ensuring efficient production with minimal friction and clear processes.
  • Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with our brand across all outputs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize content for search engines, leveraging proven SEO expertise.
  • Supervise quarterly content planning sessions and work closely with specialists, product management, and marketing to optimize content plans.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for our content program, using analytics tools to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Align messaging to ensure integrated campaign support across channels, working closely with our marketing, product, and brand teams.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you'll need at least 5 years of experience in content or related fields, preferably in technology companies, with 2+ years of management or team lead experience. You should have a proven track record of creating authoritative and engaging content, along with applied knowledge of SEO and experience with SEO tools.

  • Portfolio of written work required.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create highly efficient processes for content production and reuse.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience with technology and open source is essential.
  • A problem solver who doesn't shy away from challenges and sees projects through to completion.
