Job Overview

This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration and maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Hardware and Software Management: Install, patch, manage, troubleshoot, license, and update hardware and software assets.
  • Network Administration: Manage networks, servers, and technology tools.
  • User Account Configuration: Configure user accounts and workstations.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system health, performance, and maintain systems according to requirements.

  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues and outages.

  • Databases: Manage databases.
  • System Upgrades: Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  • Certifications and Experience: Proficient in systems such as Fortigate Firewalls, HP/CISCO/Aruba/D-Link/Allied Telesis Switches, Windows Servers, VM, and databases. Prior experience with Milestone applications, Gallagher, Lenel On-Guard, and Commend IP applications is advantageous.
  • Leadership: Lead the integration of new connected assets into systems.
  • Testing and Auditing: Conduct performance and troubleshooting tests using relevant tools. Supervise and audit third-party contractors to ensure tasks meet specifications.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance tasks with system teams and OEMs.
  • Incident Handling: Handle incidents and change management, including incident analysis, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Training and Development: Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
  • Knowledge Base Management: Maintain an internal knowledge base with technical documentation, manuals, and system policies.

This role requires a strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, as well as excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
